Collaboration

This week's theme is COLLABORATION - let's tackle a craft or art project with a friend! (Pictured above is an acrylic painting that I had the pleasure of collaborating on - with my daughter! It was a nice bonding experience and we were both very please with the results!) It is currently untitled.

So grab a friend and make a collaborative effort to create something together. Maybe you are already working on a travelling piece such as a travelling doll or shawl! Just a Small Empty Perfume Bottle by Arriving Thoughts

Although it’s just a small empty perfume bottle it brings me back. The smell that still lingers when you screw off the top triggers my memory. & as I smell it I know that this is what will help me remember her forever. She will live on through the smell that she left lingering behind. The bottle smells of her. Her smell. Everyone has their smell. & hers is there captured in that bottle for all eternity.

"ALTERED" (and an Altered Page)

A few months ago I came across the blog - Altered Pages and was immediately intrigued. I loved the way that only certain words on the page were selected in an effort to extract a certain meaning from the text. The drawings were interesting and diverse. The author invited others to submit an altered page so I decided to give it a try!

Above is my altered page that I am submitting to the Altered Pages blog. I'll let you know if we get published there!

i got so caught up in the excitement of race day that i forgot to post a Worldless Wednesday shot... so here you go!

#DailyArtist - Wordless Wednesday - Con Call Art

Today's post started out as my Wordless Wednesday pic. I was sitting on an hour long conference call and all I had to show for it was this picture of a fish!!! So I snapped a pic and here it is. (Plz don't tell my boss - but much of this meeting didn't pertain to me ;) Then it hit me that I do a lot of doodling... in meetings, on phone calls, on conference calls and I know that I am not the only one! (Come to find out "doodling in class" may actually improve your memory... read more here.)

The Plan: So this doodle brings me back to the roots of why I started this blog in the first place (see my profile). I wanted to try to bring out the daily artist in those around me - especially those who don't know they are an artist - by providing a little bit of simple inspiration. Now is your chance to show us your "daily artist". Did you doodle today? Take a pic and blog it - leave us the link in a comment. Put it on TwitPic and tweet it to us at Iflirtation.
